The Arcwood Signature Birch Room Divider separates a space without closing it off. Light passes through. Sightlines stay open. What changes is the sense of where one room ends and the next begins.

Each divider is built around seven hand-selected birch poles mounted on a heavy-duty steel base with adjustable leveling feet. Every pole carries its own bark, markings and grain — which means no two dividers are ever the same.

Raw Industrial Steel — a solid, unfinished base with an honest industrial surface. Included in the standard price.

Matte Black Powder Coated (+$100) — a scratch- and corrosion-resistant designer finish that disappears under the poles.

How the birch is prepared

Every pole is professionally cleaned and kiln dried before it reaches production. The natural bark stays on. No paint, no stain, no sealant — the surface you see is the surface that grew. The divider arrives ready to install; nothing needs to be treated or finished first.

Why do the poles arrive in two sections?

Powered by the ArcLock™ Hidden Connector System. Each birch pole is precision-engineered in two sections for efficient nationwide shipping. The concealed internal connector creates a secure, stable, and virtually invisible connection once assembled.

Can I arrange the poles in any layout?

The six trunks are fixed at even 5.25″ intervals on the included steel base plate for a clean, unified look — they're not designed to be repositioned individually. You're free to place the whole piece anywhere in the room, and it can be moved without tools or anchoring.

Will the steel plate damage my floor?

No. The one-piece powder-coated steel base plate sits flat directly on the floor and distributes weight evenly across its full 31.5″ length. For hardwood or other delicate flooring, we recommend adding felt pads underneath.

Is every pole identical?

No two poles are alike — each one is real natural white birch with
unique bark texture, markings, and color. That's the beauty of it.

How difficult is assembly?

Very easy. Screw a hanger bolt into each of the six threaded holes on the base plate, connect the two sections of each birch trunk via the ArcLock™ system, then set each trunk down over its bolt. No tools beyond a wrench, and most setups take under 20 minutes.
